The short anwer…
There are two primary costs that determine how much you will pay for new countertops: The Labor cost and the Slab cost.
The Labor cost covers fabrication and installation. We charge $36 per square foot to make and install your new quartz or granite countertops, which is about $1800 on the typical 50 sq ft kitchen.
A slab can cost as little as $700 each, or as much as $5000 each for exotics slabs. Spend as little or as much on the slab to get the look you love that’s within your budget.
So with us, you can expect to pay as little as $2500 for the typical 50 sq ft kitchen, depending on the price and size of the slab.
Pro Tip: Dont fall for the trick of getting quoted a low square foot cost, only to find added “extras” in the final cost.
What added costs should I watch out for?
You should not be charged “extra” for sink cutouts, electrical cutouts, drilled holes, delivery, or inflated slab costs.
Where will I get the best price for slabs?
Know this before you look for slabs…
Never buy your material directly from a fabricator – you will pay more, and they will have a very limited selection to choose from.
Instead, we will give you a list of all the slab yards near you, and we will tell you which yards have the best pricing and selection for the material you are most interested in.
Slab yards are wholesale only, they sell only to us, the fabricator – and most fabricators will mark up the price, and you could end up paying double the wholesale price being charged by the slab yard.
Pro Tip: Rocky will look at your design and tell you the estimated square footage, the most eonomical slab size for your project, and the number of slabs you will need.
How do I save money on slabs?
Unlike most other fabricators, we don’t mark up the price of slabs, you pay what we pay!

Not everyone needs a full slab for their project…
Maybe you have a small kitchen or just a vanity or outdoor kitchen – do you need to buy a full slab?
No, you don’t. We have literally tons of remnant, both quartz and natural stone, that you can use for your project.
This remnant is much less expensive than buying a full slab – sometimes just a few hundred dollars .
Pro Tip: Most remnant pieces will cost between $15 and $25 per square foot.
Free Remnant?
Yes! If you are doing a kitchen and a small vanity, and you want a different color for your vanity, we typically don’t mind offering you a free piece of remnant, depending on the color you want.
